SKELETAL CLINICAL STUDIES
Mission

Translational and clinical studies that draw upon the advances made in other areas of the Branch and in the field are a major focus of the Branch. Using molecular histological analysis of tissues derived from patients with a variety of skeletal disorders, essential information concerning cellular abnormalities in situ is obtained and utilized for gaining a better understanding of the pathophysiology of a particular skeletal disorder, and for the development of novel medical and surgical treatments.
